点评:Restaurant we were going to was shut so thought try The Abercorn for lunch. The place was half empty and it was Sunday lunchtime! Service was good. Poppadams lovely and fresh nice pickle tray but missed chopped onion. There were no vegetable side dishes which I like to choose a few as not a big eater. I had to order two mains an aloo and a dhall. These were very expensive I don’t know how curry has become so expensive especially for lentils and potatoes. My partner had a lamb keema curry which was mushy stringy and tasteless. My aloo was tasteless and not spicy at all with a thick tasteless sauce covering it. The lentils in the dhall were large and not crushed down and I couldn’t taste much much at all. Nice boiled rice and fair portion. Roti was ok. I would say far to expensive. With three pints the bill came to almost £70. We were on and out in less than an hour. Will have to reconsider having Indian meals out it’s becoming far to expensive and when it’s not a dining experience why bother!
