Great island except for Patriot Homes
Tybee Island Marine Science Center的点评
点评：We visited late March. The Marine Center was great. Many large tanks holding local marine and amphibious wildlife. Nice displays of marine skeletons, skulls, etc. nice staff. Boardwalk to beach right outside door. Well worth the expense. Allow 2 hours here.
Also toured the Lighthouse and related buildings.
Braces were clean.
Food was good. Ate at Crab Shack (very busy), Black River Brewery and Bubba Gumbos which was our fav.
Our only complaint was the housing. We rented a home through Marriott Homes and Villas who transfer any issues to Patriot Homes who just use Marriott for their bookings. The place was terrible. Here’s my review:
Be very careful renting from Patriot Homes. We rented one of their homes on Tybee Island last week, booked on Marriott’s Homes and Villas Bonvoy site where they are described as “NEW! Trusted home rentals, backed by Marriott.” The home had no oven, what screens remained were tattered and torn, the slider glass was so dirty you could not see through it, the couch was broken in the middle, the decking was so dried out the nail heads would puncture your feet, the hand railing on the out-of-code steps could not be grabbed due to splinters and there were large balls of dirt and dirt in the laundry room, which had sheets and towels still in the dryer. Of course none of this is listed in the description. I complained but their only response was I needed to give them photos. So beware of Patriot Homes and beware of Bonvoy Homes and Villas. They asked for my review so here it is.
We’ll go back but probably not through Marriott and certainly not through Patriot Homes. Beware!
