点评：Went to Akas apartments, Ylläs in Finland on 18th February 2024 for
7 days Flying from Bristol Airport to Kittilä Airport. Was booked through Ingram’s Holidays. Very well organised. Reps met us at Airport, we were transferred by coach to the resort Akaslompo. Coach stopped off for me to pick up my suit and boots before dropping other people off at other locations.
Very nice. Apartment, we were on the 1st floor via metal steps. Everywhere was gritted daily for safety, all very well organised.
2 bedrooms separate toilet, bathroom with 2 sinks, shower, sauna, fridge, hob, dishwasher. Lounge, log fire. Heated cabinet to dry clothes off. Lobby for coats and boots. We were about 8/ 10 mins walk from the restaurant, plenty of choices to suit everyone’s taste. lots of room. We paid extra for half board. Local bus stops at the reception area to the ski resort. 35 Euro all day pass. One of our party booked a 3 day ski and bus pass and went snowboarding. Two of them booked for 5 day cross county skiing. I did not indulge in any skiing activities. The Local supermarket was a good walk along the main road. Lots of choice and reasonably priced. I hired a snow suit €45 snow boots €30 via the Ingram’s web site before we left home. Lots of little shops for gifts, things to hire, boots, ski’s, helmets, snow mobiles, bikes. Plenty of eating places.
I booked a reindeer safari for 2 of us at a farm €125 each coach picked us up at reception, with 3 reps accompanying us. Was a thrilling experience would highly recommend it. Had Ride in a low sledge sitting on a fleece and then we were covered over with a blanket. We’re allowed to feed the Reindeers with lichen. Had a hot home made locally picked berry drink with Biscuit and chunks of bread. Sitting by a blazing fire. Lovely hosts. On site craft shop made by the owner and carved if you wish with name or date. Very enjoyable trip and well worth the money. We were not lucky enough to see the Northern Lights which was the reason for the trip, we did stand out on the frozen lake for an hour on out last night as the clouds did clear but then clouded over again. But saying that it was a wonderful magical experience I will never forget.
