点评:I didn’t come to Mumbai for the cricket but after I had booked my flights I realised I would be there would be an England V Inda T20 while I was there so I just had to go. I managed to get some cheap seats (12 quid) but behind the bowler's arm for which I paid 120 quid!!
Bit of a drawn-out process getting in to the ground compared to a match in the UK, but well worth the effort.
The atmosphere was exhilarating and I saw some records broken but sadly not by any English batsman, in fact England never looked like winning this particular match.
Everybody I talked to in the crowd was friendly and welcoming (and most knew their cricket). I did eventually tire of acknowledging the fact of England’s dreadful showing on the day as the wickets tumbled!!
Well worth a visit if you happen to be in Mumbai – even if your national team is low on form for the event.
I hope to go again on a day when England have rediscovered some of thier white ball mojo
