点评:Okay, so I love art. I love museums. I've been all over the world visiting museums of all different kinds, from small to large. And in my entire life of visiting museums (starting to get longer than I like to admit), this is the best one. Why? Let me tell you.
The building itself is incredible, with one side dominated by an enormous artwork of Fujin and Raijin, which positively gleams in the sun. I could look at it for hours. Everything is arranged in a way that somehow each piece manages to seem to be presented as the star of the show, and each and every piece deserves to be. Its beautiful, with low lighting and a spotlight on every piece. Everything felt very modern, but also very in keeping with the artwork.
And oh what artwork it was. Its my understanding that the artwork on show when I went may not be the same as when you go, but from what I can see online their collections will never disappoint. You can't take photos in there, in fact you need to leave all your electronics in a locker. On one level this is sad as there aren't always postcards of the pieces I loved most, but on another level it's actually very pleasant, as we've all had that experience where we want to look at something but someone is taking a million photos with it, or you can hear someone else's music. This experience with the artwork was quiet, and I found it very pleasant, I think I shall have more deliberately unplugged museum experiences in future.
Really, really lovely place, a touch hard to find, but worth the journey.
