A disappointing and misleading charter

点评：What I have to say here I put in an email to the owner/skipper but have not received a reply so I decided to put my comments here.
The boat, skipper and crew were very good and we enjoyed, in most part , being on the water. However there were two things that we were not happy with. We had made it very clear each time we spoke to the owner that we were keen to catch King George Whiting, (KGW) which he said was not a problem. From my knowledge and from what I can read, KGW are typically caught in 3 - 10 metres of water. Yes they can be caught in deeper water but not as easily. We were happy to go out and try for the different species in the deeper water (36 metres) but after catching very little we expected that we would head inshore and fish specifically for KGW as I would be absolutely certain that the skipper would have specific spots for KGW. Instead we spent an hour or so fishing for snapper which we could not keep. It was good fun but we would have preferred to be at least trying for KGW. Regarding the snapper we are disappointed that the owner did not make us aware of there was a ban on taking snapper before we booked the 8 hour charter. We are from Queensland and knew nothing of the ban. If we had known we would have booked the morning charter which appeared to fish more inshore. The Web site did not mention the snapper ban.
Overall, we were disappointed with the charter.
