点评：We visited the Cairngorm Mountain Railway and were thoroughly impressed with the whole experience, from the accessibility to the awe-inspiring scenery. We arrived early and were pleased to find plenty of disabled parking available close to the entrance, which made things much easier from the outset.
There are clean, accessible toilets located just before you reach the ticket office, and we were happy to find a lift nearby that takes you up to the ticket desk. Alternatively, for those more mobile, there’s a small slope followed by a short flight of stairs. It was £17 each for a return ticket, and well worth every penny.
The railway journey itself takes around 6 minutes each way and offers absolutely stunning views, especially on a clear day like the one we were lucky enough to enjoy. As the train glides up the mountain, you’re treated to sweeping Highland vistas that feel almost otherworldly.
At the top station, there’s plenty to explore, including a well-stocked gift shop, an informative exhibition area, and a lovely restaurant with panoramic windows. While access to the actual mountain is restricted to protect the fragile environment, the vantage point still offers truly spectacular views of the surrounding landscape—you won’t feel like you’re missing out.
Overall, this was a well-run, scenic and highly enjoyable experience that caters brilliantly to all visitors, including those with mobility needs. Cairngorm Mountain Railway is a must-do if you're in the area—spectacular, accessible, and truly memorable. 5 stars.
