点评：We have been touring the baseball stadiums in Japan.
A few observations.
Baseball game outcomes matter here.
If the baseball team (Softbank Hawks) WINS, then there is a fireworks and laser show. They will also open the dome roof. Tonight, they had a celebrity singer have a live performance after the show and an interview with the player of the game. What this does is to keep people in their seats after the game. It delays the rush of people leaving the stadium at the same time.
They have a very well-run in-game entertainment. The laser lights, huge digital display, mascot, and cheerleader dancing. This evening, the opposing cheerleaders were present so they had a cheerleader arm wrestling contest.
The food is really good. Outside, gourmet food cars are parked. They have better quality food but they are pricy for what you get. The indoor food service is standard. They do have branded restaurants inside including KFC and Mos Burger. They also have the ubiquitous beer girls here but they also have competing ice cream companies (Hagen Daas and Baskin Robbins) flogging their stuff. We personally were hooked on their lemon highball drinks.
Transportation. This stadium is NOT close to any train or subway network. It is quite a distance away considering how hot it gets in the summer. However, they have a very well-organized bus service. Right in front of the stadium, there are direct shuttles operated by Nishitetsu bus that move people to either Hakata Station or Tenjin Station. There are also the same shuttle buses that move people from these spots to the station about 3 hours prior to the first pitch.
Regardless of which ball team wins, you will leave the stadium entertained.
