Excellent Winter Day Trip
普利特维策湖的点评
点评：We came here on New Year's Day on a coach trip from Zagreb, as we weren't sure if the roads would be difficult. In fact it hadn't snowed for 10 days - and the road were completely clear!
Most of the facilities around the lower lakes seemed to be open - even on New Year's Day - and while it wasn't too busy, there were plenty of people and a good buzz.
The park itself is seriously impressive - even though you can only access a small part in Winter. Only the lower lakes, and only some of the lake edge paths. It's a magical place with the snow all around. And the boat trip across the lake was wonderful.
On the day we visited the conditions were reasonably mild - hardly any wind, and no falling snow. Lots of the people in our group were very lucky - even with a bit of a wind they would have been frozen! Some of the paths had packed snow/ice and were quite difficult - so bring walking poles if you can find some.
On a nice day in winter this is a great place to visit.
