Movie at 19h30, we had a reserved lounge table for 18h30 to eat.
Showed up on time, but staff so busy we were not seated until 8h40 (we did not want to take any table without confirming first).
18h53, nobody came to see us yet. I get up to talk to what appeared to be the only waiter on staff, as he is cleaning out a table. I ask: are we supposed to order at the counter? Reply: No… sorry, I was in a rush (there must be 5-6 busy tables). I then say, OK, but before cleaning up a table, shouldn’t you make sure all your customers are served? He answers, sorry I’ll be right with you…
18h58, he comes to take our order, as we stand up to get into the theater. We ask, what should we do, order here to get delivered in the theater? He says we should order in the theater.
We are THE FIRST IN the theater, 19h01. There is only one person taking orders, and he starts from the back of the room, and as the room fills, he finally can take our order at 19h27.
We notice that people are getting their food delivered without ordering, so there must be a way to order before getting in the theater. Why didn’t the waiter offer or suggested a way to do so, knowing that we were already dissatisfied with the service?
