点评:I didn’t spend too long in Tokyo Station, since crowds like those you’ll find here are overwhelming, but it’s a one-stop-shop for anything you might need or want. Aside from serving as the metropolitan area’s primary transit hub, there are myriad dining and shopping vendors on lower floors. Additionally, it’s connected via covered walkway to nearby office buildings and commercial centers in the Marunouchi district.
The most straightforward way to experience Tokyo Station, other than passing through it, is to take pictures from outside. Its historic brick facade and the neat windows of the on-site hotel make for cool photo ops, something resembling more a European rail station than anything in Japan. Even in ugly weather, it may be worth snapping a pic or two.
I won’t be back to spend time inside the station unless I’m actually boarding a train, but it’s still a one-time sight you should go to in the city.
