Long Sands Beach的点评
点评：Tynemouth has two beaches, the smaller King Edwards Bay, which can only be accessed on foot, and the larger Long Sands, which has parking on the road to the beach and is nearly a mile long. The Long Sands is ideal for surfers, there is a surf shack that offers lessons for new surfers, dog walkers and people wanting to sunbathe. Also it has two fish and chip restaurants with good reputations and a cafe. If you can't access the parking spaces on the access road, there is parking in Tynemouth Village and a regular bus service to Newcastle and Whitley Bay.
Overall The Long Sands deserves its popularity, but one thing that is missing and has been derelict since the nineties is the outdoor swimming pool. There is talk of this being rebuilt and it would be a good asset to the beach again.
