点评:One of the many hiking trails in the Palm Springs area. This popular trail is moderately difficult - the elevation rises almost 400 feet and is 2 miles long, over rocky terrain. A lot of the time you are in the direct hot and beating sun, so water is a necessity - they insist on it at the Visitor Center, and they won't let you on the trail unless you have a bottle of water. And dress appropriately - you are going to sweat. Don't walk this trail if you aren't in good health, have balance issues, get winded easily, etc. And because you are in the sun, morning is obviously better. There are far more difficult trails in Palm Springs, but I wouldn't put this in the easy category.
The point of the trail is the 60 foot waterfall at the half-way point. You can swim in the pool of water at the base of the waterfall - it is safe, but it is cold. Some people wore bathing suits under their clothes and strip down and dive in. They don't stay in too long though.
Is the waterfall the most spectacular thing ever? No. Is is worth the hike in the beating sun to see it? Well... It is worth doing if you are in half-decent shape and want something to do, after you've exhausted all the other things to do in Palm Springs, but if you are here only for a short time, there are other attractions I would prioritize over this. And I liked the Andreas Canyon trail better for scenic purposes.
