Good modern art space mostly for locals
Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth的点评
点评：This is a good museum, probably mostly for locals. In the permanent collection, there are some great things mostly focusing on the last thirty or so years. There are some older “modern” things (a gorgeous Rothko and a great de Kooning from mid century) too.
The building is not especially interesting from the parking lot, but inside it is impressive and I liked it. The layout is a little confusing but it isn’t a big museum so it’s not a problem if you get lost.
This seems to be the principal modern/contemporary space for the Dallas area and as such, it is fair to say that it falls a bit short of similar museums in other cities. For locals, this is probably a great place and the exhibitions seem to be fairly aggressive. For tourists, it’s probably better to stick with the Kimbell if your time is short.
