点评:There are many things I loved about Masstricht - the medieval cobblestone alleys, the historic buildings carefully preserved amidst creative modern architectures, the enchanting bridges crossing the serene Meuse River and best of all, the pockets of green lungs that scatter all over this 60 sq km city. The best park to explore is also the most convenient for visitors to the city - the Maastricht City Park. A true gem to the city, this huge park comprises a series of sub-parks which not only hug the south-eastern and southern tip of the city centre, but fringe the western bank of the Meuse River and most unique of all, skirt along the medieval city walls. These old historic city walls, which date back to the 13th century, have been seamlessly integrated into the park, so visitors can climb up the walls and stroll along the ramparts whilst enjoying the beautiful surrounding greenery. The relaxing mood in the park is further enhanced by the presence of an aviary, deer park, duck pond and old bear pit. One of the best city parks that I've come across!
