点评:We wanted to take our family on an adventure into the Sahara to kick of 2025, our youngest is 4 so we wanted to make sure that it was going to be ok for her.
She loved it! She was a little intimidated at first but with the confidence of the cameleers she was soon riding confidently (with one of us).
The camels are gorgeous animals, riding them was great fun, it's feels like riding a slightly wonky drunk giant donkey. Getting up and down is a bit of a rollercoaster ride. They are clearly well loved and well looked after animals. The bond between the cameleers and their charges was evident throughout the trip.
I'm not normally a happy camper. But this was an exception. The tent was cozy and warm despite it being freezing at night, the beds comfy... having carpets in the tents is clearly the way it should be done!
Dinner around the campfire was such a special experience, did was lovely, but desert bread is something else, highlight has to be the singing. We were lucky enough to have Ali, who spend over 40 years living in the desert. He is a special person, we felt very lucky he was out host.
Our oldest would like to do the 8 day camel trek next, we're not sure we could do 8 days without a shower, but we love that's something he's looking forward to doing when "he's a grown up".
This will be an experience that we'll always remember fondly.
The endless sand dunes and endless sky was other worldly and the stars in the desert. What a sight.
