点评:My husband and I took our two kids on the noon cruise. It was lovely! The boat was bustling but not over crowded. We found seats in the upper deck to get a good view. The boat is a true Mississippi paddle boat built for tours of the upper Mississippi in the mid-20th century. It was carefully transported and lovingly restored for use on the lake in the mid-1980s (I think - I hope I got all these dates/ right!)
The captain gave a great tour, sharing stories about the history of the land, the town, and the houses we saw along the shoreline. On our way back, he let the kids on board come up to steer the ship and had buttons for them to commemorate their experience. The tour was exactly what we were expecting - slow, peaceful, and relaxing. If you aren’t looking for that, you might not love it. The cruise lasted about two hours (I think 90 minutes would have been perfect) and took off from Canandaigua’s beautiful waterfront. They sold a few snacks and had nice bathrooms. The noon cruise offered lunch for an additional price, but we opted to have lunch elsewhere before our cruise. All in all, a great experience getting to know this beautiful lake.
