Peaceful temple. Divine experience!
Nataraja Temple - Chidambaram的点评
点评：Visit to Chidambaram was part of our south temple trip. I had gone with my Mother who is a senior citizen.. Was worried about the travel from Tricky to Chidambaraam. It took us about 2 hours an 20 minutes to reach chidambaram. We had started at 8:45 and reached by 10:15. The driver had taken a toll road and the drive was fast and smooth. The highways have all been upgraded and it was mostly a 6 lane highway. We had very less traffic on the way. The temple complex is also huge. Photography is strictly not allowed within the temple complex. There was crowd for darshan, but it was manageable and we got good darshan. The idol of lord Nataraja is small and we have to really concentrate to have a good look. There are no artificial lights. We can see the lord only in the light of the oil lamps lit inside the sanctum.
This is also an ancient temple in stone. The pillars and carvings on the pillars are just amazing. No adjectives to describe the amazing architecture of the temple. You have to see it to experience it. Words would not do justice to the diving feeling of the temple and having darshan of the till Natarajar lord.
One amazing thing that I noticed was that the gopuram about the sanctum can only be seen from inside the temple. No matter how far we go , we are not able to see the golden roof above the sanctum of the lord from outside. The temple wall boundary makes sure of that.
This is also an ancient temple in stone. The pillars and carvings on the pillars are just amazing. No adjectives to describe the amazing architecture of the temple.
