点评：The Mary Meanders 6 Day Quintessential Outlander Tour is an extravagant indulgence in all things Outlander. The hosts/guides Emma and Ann share their intimate knowledge of Outlander, their country Scotland and Scottish history with you like a good friend filled with enthusiasm for your delight. Our drivers Gordon and Paul were equally endearing and professional. I was always at ease, feeling safe as we drove the narrow roads and leaving my belongings in the van while we were on excursions. It is difficult to convey what a fabulous time in words because so much of the experience is how you feel. My friend and I were nearly brought to tears at Lallybroch as we wandered around the grounds and even got a peek inside. At the Tibbermore Church we got to stand in the box where Gellis and Claire were tried for witchcraft and play acted the parts. We walked the halls, climbed the circular stairs and strolled the ramparts of Outlander’s Castle Leoch, Ardsmuir Prison and Fort William. At Culloden we took time to explore and honor the Highlanders that died there. In the evenings returning to our cozy cottages, we got to unwind. Again, words fail to capture the experience, but imagine for a moment after following the footsteps of Jamie and Claire all day with detailed information regarding the story, the filming, the actors and the real history of Scotland and after a good meal to sit in a hot tub and watch the sun set over a field filled with ewes and their lambs bleating to each other as they skip and hop in silhouette along the horizon. Each day was enchanting and will never be forgotten. Book now it’s a must for Outlander fans.
