Royal West Norfolk Golf Club的点评
点评：What a fantastic day out. I was lucky enough to be hosted by a member so I am afraid that I cannot make any comment on value for money or similar. The green fee when playing with a member is next to nothing (or nothing). I’m writing this review to counter some of the naysayers who are expecting a visit similar to Trump Turnberry or Gleneagles. it is not! It is a beautiful step back in time in wonderful surroundings. If the sun is shining (as it was) it is a splendid stroll there and back with some golf in between. Look out for the bunkers which are rather beastly and enjoy a beautiful vista across the beach every now and again or inland. I have heard that at high tide some of the holes can be slightly challenging as you play across seawater.
The clubhouse is reminiscent of the 1950s and now would be called shabby chic. It is still called the smoke room. The list of the great and the good of previous captains and their gallantry awards including a Victoria Cross winner is humbling. Also look out for the memorial gates as you enter the course.
Overall a great experience for all of the right reasons. I do hope that anyone reading this can “like“ my review as being a good one.
