Avoid Koulla Boat – they traded quality Service for Greed

点评：We’ve been loyal customers of Koulla Boat in Latchi for many years, returning every summer for what used to be an enjoyable, relaxing day at sea. Unfortunately, our most recent trip was a complete disappointment — especially considering it was meant to be a special occasion: my parents’ 20th wedding anniversary.
We informed the boat’s owner about the celebration in advance, expecting at least a small acknowledgment, as they had done in the past. However, not only was it completely ignored, but they even claimed they weren’t told — which is simply untrue.
The boat usually departs at 10:30 AM, but we were told to arrive at 9:45. What was not communicated at all was that the boat would be leaving early at 10:00 due to weather conditions. As a result, several of our guests — who had driven a long way to be part of the day — missed the trip entirely. The captain and the woman selling tickets showed no concern or accountability. Their response? “We won’t wait for anyone.”
Health and safety? Practically nonexistent. No warnings about sea sickness, no sick bags, no water offered — just a shrug and a “you’ll be fine” attitude.
The lunch, once a highlight of the trip, was shockingly poor. We saw a mountain of grilled meat being cooked, only to be served a single piece each, a teaspoon of yogurt, a bit of cucumber and tomato, and a large scoop of plain pourgouri. Gone are the days of generous servings, garlic bread, and a festive onboard atmosphere.
It’s clear that Koulla Boat has become a money-making operation that no longer values customer service, experience, or safety. It’s heartbreaking to see such a beloved tradition fall so far in quality.
To locals and tourists alike: don’t waste your money here. There are plenty of other boats in Latchi that still care about providing a great experience. Sadly, Koulla is no longer one of them.
