Stauffenberg Memorial
German Resistance Memorial Center的点评
点评：Of all the memorial I experienced in Berlin (but also other sites around the world), this for some reason gave me goosebumps and really moved me. I visited Berlin in February 2025 in a typical grey but clear winters afternoon. After visiting a few other perhaps better known sites I wanted to see the memorial to Stauffenberg.
Its very striking as you enter the courtyard and see the statue for the first time, the courtyards appearance lends well to what I think its trying to show and I took some time trying to contemplate what Stauffenberg must have gone through.
Granted you can look at Operation Valkyrie in different ways but there was something very powerful about this and I was deeply moved.
Sadly I was running short on time but I was able to view some of the museum to the German Resistance which is located on the left hand side and up the staircase, the staff were very friendly. I just wish I had more time.
If you get the chance go and see this please.
