Great beach, but spoilt by dog mess
Freshwater East Beach的点评
点评：Spent one of the best days weather wise at Freshwater East Beach. It is a short walk from the car park along a footpath next to a stream as you approach the path opens out into a vast expanse of what appears to be a very clean beach. First impressions can be deceiving.
Once on the beach we spent at least 20 minutes looking for an area without dog mess, either on the sand or buried. Again I have to wonder why people cannot either leave their dog at home or at least clean up after them. It used to the worst thing on a beach was old fag stumps, but not today. As the day wore on and got hotter I could only sympathise with the poor dogs. No shelter little water, most dogs were panting and trying to shelter under the deck chairs their so called owners were sitting. Say anything to them and all you got was abuse and that they were dog lovers.
Still we did have a good day, swimming and Kayaking in the cove. At least we had a gazebo to shelter in and had a great beach braai.
If you are prepared to put up with the dog mess this is not a bad beach and on a fine day has lots to offer.
