Wayfarers Way a Very Scenic and enjoyable walk overlooking Lake Como

点评：We really loved the views we had during this walk from Varenna to Bellano which we did via Castello Vezia. It is also well worth a visit for it vista over Lake Como. We used the wayfayers walk map which we found in the both tourist offices in Bellano and Varenna. The walk is marked in places with red paint and arrow pointers in some areas but in places careful reading of the route is needed. If you do go slightly off the track as long as you keep reading the directions you will soon notice and not have to double back.
The walk does have steep parts and also when we did it there was wet, slippy parts along the way as well so decent mobility is required. If you head to Bellano then you can also do the Orrido di Bellano Gorge as well. We would also recommend an Ice cream from the little gelateria on the lake front, great ice cream. Either way you do the trail there is a great train service between the two towns so you don't need to walk back unless you want to. Very happy to have done this on our Lake Como visit.
