点评：Okay, I have a lot to say about our visit to Khao Sok National Park. Bottom line, it is beautiful and worth seeing. I had a very hard time figuring everything out though so I hope this helps shed some light for others. We flew into Surat Thani Airport. Our next stop after the park is Koh Samui. I didn't know about the Ferry that you can take from Surat Thani to Koh Samui so that was never considered. We used the app 12Go to help us secure transportation. I was not able to ask our "hotel" for input as they had no email, WhatsApp or any way to reach them except a phone number that no one answered. So we hired a taxi thru 12GO and paid $51 USD. The ride was only about 45 minutes which was great because it was quoted about 1.5 hours. I asked for the drivers WhatsApp which was helpful because we ended up using them again directly for our ride out of the park which saved us going thru 12Go and their uncharge. I wasn't sure how we would get to the lake once we got to our 'resort' so I booked a resort that was was only about 2km from the lake. When we got there they ended up having a scooter that we rented for 48 hours for 600 Baht (approx $18). Before we flew to Surat Thani I was trying to find a tour that would take us on a long tail boat to the lake. I looked here on Trip Adviser and also on Get your guide which is where I ended up booking thru. I thought it was very expensive $177 for the two of us for 4 hours but other things were showing as sold out (on get your guide) so I was worried. When we arrived at our 'resort' they showed us that we could book the same tour thru them for $85. I tried to cancel the booking thru get your guide but I was outside the cancelation window. it turns out the tour was not the same.. theirs was 6 hours and ours was 4 hours but we talked to some people who did the tour thru the resort and they said it included a "trek" into the jungle but that it was very short - like 5 minutes. The big difference is that ours was a private tour so just me and my husband on the boat where other boats were full of people. So, that was kind of nice honestly. When you arrive at the pier it is a bit confusing there. some tours pick you up and so that might be easier. We rode our scooter, parked in the lot and then we had a little time to get some breakfast. I asked several people where we go to meet our guide but no one really speaks english. Then we had to pay 360 Baht per person for park entrance. We think there is a scam going on here. Our guide (from Discover Thailand) took us into a booth which looked like a little store and she sold some food and we paid her. then our tickets were handed to our guide and she walked us down onto the pier where we met our captain. When she haded the tickets to the entrance fee guide he was supposed to stamp them but he just kind of discreetly handed them back to her. So we are pretty sure they just pocket the money (~$20USD) there was a ticket booth there as well where other people were buying the tickets so if you see this happen I would try to buy tickets from the booth and good luck if you only speak english. So we got on the boat and rode across the lake for about 45 minutes then our captain took us to a cave which was pretty quick in and out and lots of people. Then we rode some more to arrive at a spot where they had the floating pavilions and a lunch spot, kayaks and a roped in area where you could swim. The water was absolutely amazing. So clear and warm. I loved it but you have to stay in this one little area... We were there for probably an hour then we headed out and we went past the famous 3 brothers formations and then he showed us a tree high on a hill where the large fruit bats roost. It was beautiful back in this alcove so I asked if we could swim there and it was a hard no. It seems no private boats are allowed on the lake, only tourism boats and there are rules.
