Panama was amazing with Rudy as our guide

点评：We booked 2 tours with Rudy, organising it through Patty who was lovely to chat to. We arrived on a cruise ship to Fuerte Amador, the new port. The ship was leaving early the next day to travel the Panama Canal so we had no issues with timings. I would have trusted Rudy to get us back in time if we had an earlier all aboard.
I booked the tours then used Cruise Critic to see if others wanted to join us. We became a group of 7 which was perfect for Rudy's comfortable, air-conditioned van. Rudy was great from the start. He talked to us as we left the port, describing what we could see and answered all of our questions. We visited the Gatun Lake first (wonderful, saw different species of monkeys, crocodile, iguana, sloth - much more than we were expecting as it was the hotter part of the day). We were 9 on the boat (including the captian) which was perfect - so much better than some of the other boats that were crammed with people. We then had an old colonial city tour where we walked through the old town and had a chance to try local chocolates and coffee (Geisha). We also had a tasty lunch of empanadas and local beer.
We felt that we had been able to make the most of our short time in Panama City and will happily recommend Rudy to anyone visiting. Book early though as he is very popular! He is multilingual too (at least Spanish, English, German and Italian). Thank you Rudy!
