Norfolk Island National Park & Botanic Garden的点评
点评:These gardens occupy a 5.5 hectare site that runs down the side of a hill. You will see amongst the trees and plants that are mostly native to Norfolk Island, giant pines, masses of tree ferns and sub-tropical rainforest. The latter is particularly evident when you undertake the longest walking trail, the Rainforest Gully circuit, which is 600 metres long and contains approximately 700 stairs.
There are five interwoven trails with the shortest being the Garden trail (90 metres) followed by the Boardwalk (170 metres). Both of these are stroller/wheel chair friendly. The two longest are the Rainforest Gully and the Tree Fern Gully circuits (375 metres). The trails are well marked and often have wooden a wooden boardwalk.
We did not see a green parrot except for the stuffed model in the Discovery Centre.
There are toilet facilities and tables and chairs at the Gardens but no cafe.
It is though, free to enter and well worth the effort.
