点评:Grazing stock have been restricted from entering this reserve for over 130 years thereby protecting the endemic species to be found in this area as well as the forest in general. The Reserve covers an area of just over 22 hectares.
We parked in front of the Homestead Restaurant and entered the Reserve, which is on the other side of the road, via the gate that was there. We noticed several entrances.
A notice not far into the walk advised us that it is a moderate two kilometre walk and allow 20 to 30 minutes.
What it doesn't say is that the walk is circular and does go down the hill to the cliffs at Rocky Point. Obviously you then need to walk back up but it is not too strenuous and there are no steps.
The views of the cliffs were quite spectacular. We were lucky enough to see a couple of nesting mutton birds hiding in the bushes near the cliffs.
Well worth the walk.
