点评：Austin Hope was the first of several winery tastings during our time in Paso Robles and, as I told our hostess, the experience was gonna be hard to beat. Everything about our time at there was top notch! From the welcome glass of Sauvignon Blanc to the parting gift of an Austin Hope hat, we felt like everyone worked hard to give us a great experience. On our booking, I had mentioned that we were celebrating my husband’s retirement and everyone we spoke to congratulated him warmly.
We were in an outside cabana, private and cozy, and were blessed with a beautiful blue sky, warm spring day. Our hostess Maddi is phenomenal and very, very good at what she does. Friendly and engaging with just the right amount of wine info and fun conversation, she made us feel comfortable and right at home. When I mentioned that I prefer white wine, she immediately offered to switch gears and do a white flight for me while still doing reds for my husband. Maddi « went rogue » a couple of times (off the preset flight list) and brought out an extra few wines to try. At the end of the tasting, she brought out a gift my husband. - an Austin Hope hat. It was a small gesture but it made a big impact and we left there completely happy with the whole experience.
Overall, Austin Hope has got their act together! The casual atmosphere, the friendly and knowledgeable staff, along with their attention to the little details, made this wine tasting experience hard to beat. I seriously doubt it can be done!
