点评:We arrived around 8:30 am after waiting for approximately one hour at the airport for our taxi, which we had pre-booked through the hotel. Our understanding was that there was a problem getting permission for the taxi to enter the arrival pick up area...not quite sure.
We were provided a very small washroom to change into our swimsuits. Our rooms were not ready until 2:30 which is standard. We had to pay an additional cash only environmental tax after paying for the room, which was just under 500 pesos for myself.
The room was quite large but very dated. Broken patio door, difficult to lock and actually broke, so I put the screws back in to keep it working. Had to wait 2 days for a hairdryer. There were 4 hangers in the closet. A working safe was provided. No dresser supplied for clothing. The food would freeze in my small fridge. The bathroom vanity is very small and the bathroom itself is substandard. On some occasions the sewer smell was evident. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. The staff did a good job of cleaning the room daily. The bathroom towels were clean but quite thin. No facecloth was provided. Balcony chairs had no padding, so had to use towels. The air conditioning was wonderful.
The beach is amazing. Beautiful sand, but lots of seaweed, which can't be helped. Biggest pet peeve...you had to pay 50 pesos a day to rent an umbrella AT YOUR OWN HOTEL!! You also could not get beach service from the restaurant attached to the hotel,...well it depended on who was working there. The beach lounge chairs are extremely heavy and made out of wood. Alot are broken and don't recline properly. Umbrellas are in disrepair. One had a wooden pole stuffed into the end. The cushions are ripped, stained and dirty. But you get a beach towel to cover it up. The guy who puts the Umbrellas up didn't arrive till late morning, while the chairs next to our hotel had them up by 8 am. Staff are friendly if you can find them. Lots of vendors trying to sell you something.
I'm giving the hotel 3 stars for a 2 star hotel. It is right on the beach and 1 block from the restaurant and stores strip. I feel that the owners should put a little money into making the necessary repairs and updating a few things.
