Extremely disappointed with chateux visit.
"Pascal", the driver, was just shocking in his unprofessional and rude behaviour.
The tourism officde outsources to a company AcoDispo, a monopoly, where they claim to have an 8-seater van which is actualy 7 seater. They overcrowd the van. We were squished (I was put in a baby/ child's seat), and was very, very uncomfortable. The driver was squished up almost lap to lap against me, his elbow banging into my side every time he used the shift stick. This is obviously unsafe. One simple feedback ("this is a bit squished for two persons....) to the driver, "Pascal", evoked an enraged shouting match where he first said "Do you want to sit on my LAP?" (wildly inappropriate and creepy), then a river of grumbling and personal attacks ("You should join a private tour", "You are (insult) X" "you are (insult) Y")- then "you should write to the car manufacturer" (passive aggressive sarcasm just to shout you down). How is it the manufacturer's fault that you chose to overcrowd your van and you chose to shout at your passenger...? All this just from a simple line of feedback? The whole day (9-6) there was no smile, no warmth, no true hospitality (quite different from the typical Loire Valley warmth we had felt everywhere else). The whole experience left a bitter, bad taste in my mouth and was the only count of extreme rudeness by a service provider I had in Tours/ Loire valley. Obviously, no apologies whatsoever. I won't even mention the banging of the car doors from the driver to show his lack of control of his temper. If they reply to this review, you will probably be able to see the passive aggressive customer-blaming attitude.
