点评:We took the bus from Tilcara to Humahuaca and once in Humahuaca hired a driver in a 4x4 to take us to Hornocal. The driver spoke no English but the two women in the vehicle with us spoke Spanish and translated. The drive along the dusty, rocky, winding, rocky road alone was worth the money. The countryside was beautiful and we even saw vicunas at the side of the road. Once at Hornocal, we were given 1 hour at the site. A lot of people stayed at the top but we chose to walk down the slippery gravel trail for a close up view of the 14 colours. The colours- wow- magical and spectacular! The walk back up to the top wasn't easy since you are 4350 metres above sea level, but my high altitude patches and coca leaves enabled me to do it with no ill effects. There is help at the top for people who struggle with the high altitude. This outing was truly memorable.
