Dangerous due to mis-judge of the guide.

点评：First, general tips need to know is this kinda activity is consider physical. Due to self drive nature, it would be more suitable for younger adult male. If you are lady please pair with a young man.
It would be very enjoyable if you were able to control the break and steer these dogs. Otherwise it would be consider a whole survival course for you.
I think this would be similar for the self drive dog sledging activities.
I think the operator should review the arrangement and place the pairs in the sledge correctly. Which it didn’t happen for us for this operator.
Second, specific to our experiences with this operator, Active Tromso.
Very bad experience, 1 star would be consider polite. The mis-judgement of the guide causing danger to our teenager.
We are a family of 4 on 2 sledges run by 2 groups of dogs among a group of 4 lead by a guide.
Due to some toppling incidents in-front of us in the early of the activity, our guide instructed our teenager’s sledge to move ahead of him while he handle the incident, while keeping the my sledge behind. This separated us. That was still ok.
But then, he didn’t ask my teenagers to waiting in-front of him. Our teenagers are girls and smaller in physical sizes means it would already be a lot demanding for them in the first place. So these strong dogs dragged them and moved on head along the journey in a lone sledge separated from the rest for the majority of the trip through remote valleys with snow as deep as knee in -10 degree temperatures.
They topple a few times and have to scramble and chased themselves back to the dogs and the sledge, lucky they managed finally keep up to another group far infront and managed to scramble they way back to the starting points. Both of them are too exhausted and burst into tears due to the horrible experience they faced throughout the trip and so happy they managed to be back alive. They promised they wouldn’t going for dog sledding anymore for the rest of their lives. Ouch!
Hope lesson we learn can served both operator and the participants a good reference for better enjoying the dog sledging activity.
