Wimbleball Lake Country Park的点评
点评：We had planned to walk the 8.5 mile loop around the lake and were keen to get started. We were prepared with supplies in our rucksack and suitable walking shoes. Firstly there was a distinct lack of signage in places. After around 40 minutes of walking we had to turn back. It had been raining, the tracks in places were very muddy and slippy and the route was so overgrown with vegetation, it was a battle to get through and as the vegetation was very wet and chest high (ferns, brambles & stinging nettles), we were completely drenched.
There was another couple also going the walk who were on holiday. They continued for a while longer but eventually turned back and when we spoke with them they said they had wasted a day of their holiday! At least we were relatively local.
It’s such a beautiful area but such a shame the path has not been kept cleared and accessible for walking.
