Jamie's Whaling Station and Adventure Centre - Ucluelet的点评
点评：I did a whale watching trip and a bear watching trip the following day with Jamie's and can highly recommend both. The Zodiac tour was exhilarating - we had beautiful weather so hurtling along at speed was fantastic. Our tour guide was very informative and passionate about the wildlife and went out of his way to show us some sea lions and sea otters. Even if we hadn't seen any whales I would still recommend this tour as the scenery is stunning and it's just such fun. Luckily we did see 3 humpback whales but the only 'behaviour' we witnessed was some lunge feeding. The boat keeps its distance from the whales. We did stop and cut the engine and sometimes the whales will come closer if you're lucky.
The bear watching the next day was on the cabin cruiser but this was still a small tour of about 15 people so we all got a good view. Took us a while to locate some bears but when we saw them it was all worthwhile. Mum and cub. The boat stayed a safe distance away so as not to scare the animals so I would strongly advise that you take binoculars. Again, our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions.
Unfortunately my husband was unwell and so unable to join the tour on either occasion, but although it was totally unexpected (and not requested) Jamie's very kindly refunded us for one of the trip which was very much appreciated seeing as it's clearly stated that 24 hour notice is required.
