Interesting site - well worth a visit - and the adjacent gardens are lovely.

点评：When we went (mid-March, 2025) it was only open on Weds and Sats - though that may have changed?
NB: Unless you go on the guided tour, you can only view the outside of the mills.
The tours are at 11am and 1.30 on those days - and cost £7.50 per adult; kids under 16 are free.
Our guide was Tony - and he was great!
(He was born and raised in Belper, so knows the area's history very well.
In fact he grew-up in one of Strutt's original "factory houses".
Be sure to ask him about his memory of the factory being strafed by a German plane at the very end of WW2!)
His colleague in the office/reception - up a few steps at the rear of the building - was also most friendly and helpful - thank you!
After the tour (mostly outside - so dress warmly if it's chilly! - have a walk around the lovely High St - and walk the cobbled streets of the old terraced cottages.
Recommended - well worth a visit!
