Wonderful Cocktail of Whole Lotta Fun and Learning- Cruising, Kayaking and Exploring the Mangroves

点评：Despite the fact that this came highly recommended by a friend, there was a reluctance mixed with trepidation, considering our overall experience (or the lack of it) in swimming, and then there was this fear my wife had of kayaking that might involve getting getting dumped into the river (a la banana boat ride), and that too into the supposedly deep Mandovi river. How wrong were we?- this was easily the highlight of our holiday tour in Goa this year, and possibly one of the better evening outs involving the entire family.
Thanks, and tonnes of it, due to the way Poonam and Pascal (the dynamic duo) have gone about setting up their venture in Panjim and surrounding areas. Their shared love of everything about India, Goa, nature, people, photography, kayaking, the mangroves and many other things that cannot be fully captured in a camera or penned down, ensures that this remains more a labour of love than just another business venture. Everyone in the family loved the experience on the cruise boat, jumping into the Mandovi river (the water level is just about 4-5 feet deep), kayaking is super easy to learn, the mangrove is a fun learning experience, cruise boat is well stocked with fruits, nuts, coffee, a couple of beers to refresh, there is a smallish change/wash-room, and the ride itself is super-smooth.
Apart from that, Pascal and Poonam (and their team) are great raconteurs, have a great knowledge of the surrounding areas thanks to their love of nature, and take really good-looking photographs. All in all a great package. Keep in mind- they are selective about their clientele, and this cruise is unlike the ones where you go just to have booze and dance, but I guarantee that they promise and do provide a memorable experience. Go for it.
I would also commend Glefi (she influenced us to try out kayaking in addition to just the cruise, and I am glad we listened to her) and Narayana from the Konkan Explorers team.
