Beautiful temple experience spoiled by the store owners

点评：Once we arrived at the temple site and were getting ready to pay the fees, we were already hassled by multiple store owners telling us multiple times at all once to visit their stores after we were done with the temple. We were going to do that anyway. We didn't get a guide, so we just explored the temple grounds ourselves. I liked every artifact in there. However, the hundreds-year-old banyan tree has a spooky feel. When we got down, we were again swamped by those store owners. One lady just didn't get it, even though I told her in Indonesian we would visit her store after we checked out other stores. She wanted us to visit her store first. She was frankly getting on my nerves. These owners were like flies. Since some stores didn't sell what we were looking for, we skipped them. One elderly guy stood in front of our car and said, "I hate you!" and stormed off. I smiled and mentally said - I'm sure your "God" (Agni or the fire god) in that temple heard you too and you'll have to account for what you said very soon. It's called karma. My suggestion is to inform your local guide to shield you from those people so that you can get into the car once you're done with the temple. If you still want to check out their stores, that's entirely on you. Don't say I didn't warn y'all.
