点评：Visiting family in Oloron-Sainte-Marie, decided to take the early bus to Saint Martin. Beautiful drive up as fresh snow had been coming down for a few days. Fantastic locals abaout, friendly and the tourist information staff were brill. I decided that I wanted to go ski for the day and I was not let down by a single person from leaving tourist office. One of the ski hire places, the staff were attentive and accepted my broken but polite French and insisted it was better speaking English. Dirt cheap as far as I was concerned including the ski lift pass. £70 or something daft for on the spot was great for me and that included insurance. I was blown away by the scenery and the runs. It was -10 deg c when I got to the top but I swear I could almost see the curvature of the earth it was that clear. The sky was so deep blue and the snow so virgin crisp. I spent as long as I humanly possibly could and litterally until 5 mins before the bus back to oloron. I didn't get to explore what cafe, restaurants or bars there were, so no review on those. The resort is fairly small but it then has that more personal feel to the place and you donn't seem to get fleeced aside the usual expensive of eating half way up a mountain, that I understand. All in all an fabulous day out and every euro worth it. I am so looking forwad to going again but for a week or two.
