点评：Hi, as a relatively new member of Sunset Ranch, let me provide you with an average golfer’s review of this course.
Sunset Ranch is a very relaxed setting, the staff are friendly, and everyone is welcome.
Limitations:
If you’re looking for a resort experience this isn’t the place for you - visit Okanagan Golf Club or Predator Ridge for this.
If you’re looking for a full service practice facility - again not the place for you as Sunset Ranch has no driving range, but there are newly installed nets to hit into before your round.
What you do get;
Sunset Ranch is objectively (based on slope) the most difficult course in the Kelowna area.
- the course is very straightforward - there are no blind tee shots.
- the course is built on the side of a mountain. It’s walkable, but a workout.
- the course is generally in very good condition from April til October.
- there are no level lies. Every shot is uphill, downhill, or a side hill lie. Upside: you get to practice using the slope adjustment on your range finder.

- most fairways are either narrow, lined with full size Douglas fir trees or both. Hit it straight as a wayward shot will leave you little chance of hitting the green in regulation.
- the greens are devilishly fast - stupidly fast. They say they are typically 11 - 11.5 on the stimp meter ( not sure what that even means) but I do know that an aggressive putt can and will roll right off the green. Oh did I mention that greens 2 and 16 are tiered - land on the correct tier or..well..good luck
- there is a creek in play that runs along fairways 1,2, and 14, and protecting the greens on holes 6, 13, and 18. You’ve been warned.
- the bunkers, while few in number, are wonderful in that they are well maintained and filled with a fine sand (not a gravel pit like some courses)
