Great Condtion Can be Tricky

点评：It was our first visit to Cornelia GC which proved very enjoyable indeed. Not just because we played well and emerged victorious but because it was overall a lovely track in very good condition. There are a total of 27 holes, so you get assigned two 9’s of the Prince, Kings or Queens. Practice facilities were very good albeit, yet again golf buggies at €50 a little expensive, especially as none have GPS. If I’m being super critical I’d say some of the areas adjacent to the holes themselves need some work, with old sleepers and rough gravel cart paths. That said couldn’t fault the condition of the course itself, tees, fairways, bunkers and greens all in great condition. I’d have to add that whilst not very long (off the yellows) it’s a fairly tight course with a lot of run off from the fairways which can find you amongst some of the large trees that line the fairways. Obviously playing it for the first time can be a challenge as you never really know what lies ahead / around the corner. My advice to anyone would be to go more for accuracy than distance. Favourite hole was the 3rd on the Kings,named ‘Jaws’ (which happens to be my favourite film) pleased to say I made par, whilst Mrs L made birdie from a super tee shot to less than 2 ft! Part of our package included free food n drink at this course so we ate at the clubhouse after our round. I’m sad to report that whilst my pizza was acceptable everyone else’s meal was below par (pardon the pun) the clubhouse itself is a little unusual in its layout and whilst I’ve no idea how old it is, I would say it’s a little dated and in need of refurbishment
