Car parking facilities totally inadequate.
WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre的点评
点评：We arrived just after 11.00 am on a Wednesday. The main car parks were already full with more people arriving. The overflow car parks were a muddy free-for all with no marking of spaces, minimal signage (apart from some parts coned off) and no marshalling. We were unwilling to park on any of the few grassy areas remaining not only for fear of bogging the car down but also getting ourselves covered in mud while changing into walking boots. and in any case we were not prepared to pay the significant entry fee when facilities are so poor, so regrettably we left.
I am a keen birder and have parked in some fairly out-of-the way places over the years but do not expect this kind of welcome from a premier visitor attraction. This was really disappointing and we will not return.
We have visited Slimbridge at this time of year before and have not experienced this issue. I can only assume that parking facilities have not kept up with increasing visitor numbers. As we did not feel able to stay this time we cannot give more than one star in our review. Very sorry.
