Staff need to deal with poorly behaving customers, as our evening was ruined. Staff need to eject disturbing customers.
New Wimbledon Theatre的点评
点评：The venue is in the style of a classic west end theatre. Well maintained. Decent sized seats.
The staff need to do a much better job of managing poorly behaved spectators. On the night I went, two women took over the box after the interval. They were inebriated. Stood and danced while the rest of the audience were sitting. Repeatedly left and rentered. Went on their phones for several minutes and created light distractions and talked at conversational volume. There were staff floating around who did nothing.
Then a member of the audience shouted at them across the theatre. At which point 3 staff arrive to the box to more closely regulate the customers’ behaviour.
If theatres hope to survive and compete against streaming services, they are going to need to do a better job of training and empowering their staff on how to deal with customers who impair the rest of the audience’s experience. The customers were sitting in the box which distracted everyone in the circles. The behaviour lasted about 30 minutes and would have carried on but for the bravery of another customer.
I will not to this venue again until I hear that the theatre has taken some specific steps that would result in different outcomes in the future.
