The Great Orangutan Project的点评
点评：I was based at Matang with project Borneo booked through great projects uk . Was only there a week, so wished I had booked longer.
The Staff were great and genuinely love theses forgotten animals, especially Dom who went beyond, to help everyone. I’m not going to lie I’m a little bit in love with this man and his lifetimes work with orangutang. His knowledge of the forest, was impressive.
The daily work is hard, and it will test your morals about animal conservation in Borneo.
The accommodation is basic but we all survived lol.. the other volunteers were super fun and we laughed lots,but that’s not to say we were all very concerned about the conditions theses beautiful creatures were kept in.
Want to send a shout out to Steve the volunteer facilitator, a very patient man with us all and an animal lover to his bones.
The enrichment making in the Afternoon, then watching the animals enjoying our labours was priceless.
If you are thinking of going don’t hesitate. It’s a life changing experience.
