TrainWorld: a place to visit whether your are a miniature railway enthusiast or not
The New Zealand Timber Museum的点评
点评:My main reason for visiting today was to see the TrainWorld exhibition which is being improved all the time by Pierre Vuillemier and his team of six volunteer model train and landscape builders.
The older part of the exhibition was brought to the Timber Museum in Putaruru from Napier. The detail is amazing and includes not only trains and road vehicles but also tiny figures fixing cars!
The middle part of the exhibition has lots of railway lines, trains, cars, buses, and beautiful European houses and city buildings.
Still under development is a New Zealand forestry and wood processing landscape.
You will also find the Redwood Café, a small church, an exhibition about introduced animals in New Zealand forests, and a school room at the Timber Museum, in addition to the well-signposted exhibits about production forestry and wood processing.
The Timber Museum is on State Highway 1 just south of Putaruru.
It is well worth a stop!
