点评：The bike and kayak combo is a fantastic way to experience the beautiful wide open spaces of the Provincial Park of the Blue River. We had to contact the ‘Sud Loisirs’ (South Leisures) company by email in order to get a link to book the combo online - and then we had to act fast as places fill up ahead of time. The dirt road from Pont Pérignon is only accessible to the shuttle bus and hire bikes, and we picked up the bikes next to Pérignon Bridge and Carpark (Le Parking). We hired the mountain (not electric) bikes and cycled to the end of the Parc, about 13 kilometres one way, stopping at points of interest along the way (self-guided). Many scenic picnic spots and hiking tracks also dot the trail. When we picked up the bikes, we received detailed instructions about what to see (Cagou Birds, Giant Kaori, River Blue) and where to meet in the afternoon for the kayak excursion. The river is quite low at the moment but we were still able to paddle downstream through the Sunken Forest, seeing an Eagle on the way. Our bikes were transported from the start of our kayak adventure and delivered to the kayak finishing point - there we picked them up again to cycle the rest of the way back to the Pont Perignon and Sud Loisirs Hire Location. Evan and his team were friendly and helpful - Evan’s English was very good for explaining the sights and plans for the day. Pricing is also quite reasonable. We highly recommend this company and their bike-kayak combination package in the Blue River Park - it was a highlight of our three week trip to New Caledonia.
