8 mile box hill hike

点评：Me and a friend travelled down from London to do the 8 mile Box Hill hike. We parked at the foot of box hill (free parking with hotel stay) which was right opposite a very steep hill leading to the start of walking routes and a cafe/toilets.
The route was super easy to follow with posts telling you which direction to take next. There are some steep up-hills and descents and I was greatly humbled watching older people and dogs overtake us at parts haha. We stopped 3 miles in at a pub called King William iv and I highly recommend. They have a lovely outside garden.
The hike has beautiful views most of the way around. We walked through woodland, cattle fields and past cute little cottages. It wasn’t crowded at all and we visited on a warm, sunny April afternoon in school holidays. The views from the top are wow. Cafe was closed by time we reached it, but there was an icecream van you can buy from.
We loved it here and would definitely do it again!
