点评:Nico was our guide and he was fantastic. Prompt pick up from our agreed location and then its about a 15 minute drive out to the dog yard. The scenery is amazing and we were so fortunate to have brilliant conditions. Nico gave us a briefing on what to do before we went to get changed and then we could meet the dogs. They all have different personalites and are absolutely amazing. Nico then allowed me to harness some of the dogs to the sled, which was great to do and felt really good being able to handle the dogs. A very few number of reviews on here say they are shocked at how the dogs are handled but i can honestly say they are treated in the best way possible and are very happy working dogs. If you are expecting domesticated pets you will be in for a shock as there is a big difference between them and working dogs. Once all the dogs were harnessed Nico allowed myself and my friend to ride the big sled with him, which was great. The sled ride itself was absolutely stunning and Nico gave us some really good information about the dogs and the valley. Once back at the yard we had waffles and hot chocolate with brandy before meeting the puppies. The puppies were so adorable but be warned they have very sharp teeth and will chew anything, which wasn't a problem for me at all. I took advantage and tried to interact with all of the dogs as much as possible, which is encouraged. Overall one of the best tours i have ever done and i would love to come back and do another sometime! It was the perfect birthday, thankyou Nico and Green Dog Svalbard!
Green Dog Svalbard!
