点评：From start to finish, this was such a fantastic & enjoyable day, and we honestly enjoyed every minute
We were picked up very promptly at 9 from the Beynac office by the friendliest and very knowledgeable English guy who completely put us at ease.
He gave us so much information on the area and pointed out all the sights on the drive to our start point.
We were given a safety briefing, fitted with life jackets & were soon in the water in our gorgeous little canoe, which we called 'Tubbers'.
We started & Carsac & apart from 2 kayakers who were soon whizzing past us, the whole river was ours & we didn't see anyone until Le Roque!
The views are breathtaking, and the Dordogne flows at such a leisurely pace that you can go as slow or as fast as you like.
We chose a leisurely meander & soaked it all in taking our time to fully enjoy the sights and sounds of the river.
There are plenty of places to stop. Some small beach areas & soke serviced with toilets, bars & snacks.
You can stop where you like, and it really is up to you where you stop and where you go. Getting out isn't as hard as I thought it would be & launching was relatively easy.
We stopped at La Roque for a spot of lunch before heading back to Tubbers & the homeward leg of the trip.
We were lucky that the .an who dropped us off had just arrived at Beynac as we had, so my husband helped him load the canoes for his journey back.
For our first ever canoe adventure, I am so glad we picked this company. The canoes looked more roomy and sturdier than others and from start to finish they were such a pleasure to deal with.
