点评:We combined the Mine Museum with the underground simulation.
Luc, a volunteer (former miner at the Beringen Mine), took us down into the simulation. The real mine shut down on 28 October 1989, so it is no longer possible to visit it. However, a simulation of the mine has been rebuilt in the cellars. It only takes an hour, but you get such amazing insights in the workings of a mine.
After this tour, we went up to the Mine Museum, which outlines the history of mining in Limburg in general and in Beringen in particular. Panels guide you through the museum without an audio guide, though it is available at the front desk and even from your smart phone.
When the weather is well, you can also visit the Mine Terril, made from all the stone debris left from the mine, but now restored to a natural habitat for grasses and herbs and many insects.
Very interesting visit!

志愿者Luc(贝林根矿场前矿工)带我们进入了模拟矿场。
